Lots of people had a good time playing Shadow Complex this past summer.  This takes what those developers did and takes it to the next level.  It brings it all back home since SC was inspired by earlier Metroid games.  This new look for the franchise is exciting.

I hope this is good. Graphically it looks okay, but I'm not big on some of the design choices. Granted, that is passable if the game is solid. What really worries me though is movement speed, first-person controls, and the terrible VO work. I may be old fashioned, but I liked it when Samus was silent or at least not shouting one-liners.

Needs a new name, which it won't get.

This trailer actually made it look pretty sweet, I hope the final product does end up being as good as this trailer made it look.

Using only the Wii remote will probably suck when compared to a nun chuk set up. But we'll see.

Looking good, I was a little worried after the cinematic trailer.

If the level design is solid Metroid and the game plays as well as it looks like it does, it'll be the best Metroid game since Metroid Fusion. Otherwise, I fear it will be the worst game in the franchise.

Well that got me interested. Its looking like this could turn out to be a big hit. I sure hope so.

As a long time Metroid fan I'm pretty excited for this. It looks like it has the potential to be pretty damn cool. The first person stuff looks a little "eh" to me. It'll kind of depend on how hard it is to switch back and forth I think.

It looks like there's an auto aim feature while running around, so what the hell is the purpose of going into 1st person. I suppose if you felt the game was playing too well and wanted the shoddy mechanics of first person shooting on the wii, it would be a welcome change.

fuuucccckkk. This trailer has gotten me excited. Much more than the last.

Japanese version of the trailer is up, and it shows some extra gameplay (melee attacks, freezing individual body parts, dodging, morph balling through rooms on different planes, BEHIND THE BACK PERSPECTIVE):
 
 

Team Ninja is amazing.

This reminds me more of the old Metroids instead of those first person takes on it. I think it looks great.

What's with her ugly ass birthmark thing (I refuse to call it a "beauty mark" as there is nothing remotely beautiful about a mole)? I don't remember her having that before.

Looks cool, but who choose the font for the Other M part of the title. Sure do hope they update it.

My game tastes must be shifting, this game looks awful.

Looks pretty OK. The oversized boobs in Zero Suit Samus are an obvious sign of team ninja's involvement.

Okay side scroll with the crude wii mote side-ways, okay Im in; but then running towards the background (basically 3D gaming) with a D-pad? no analog!? no way! so i would want to use a gamecube controller for this game. But wait you can't because it has the stupid looking first person thing so you need the wii mote... i won't hold my breath on this one. Maybe controls are dumbed down enough for this to work, but I'd rather they made a real 2D Super Metroid sequel and used the classic controller for it.

Two concerns: 
1) d-pad in a 3D space 
2) the frequency of the 1st person-required gameplay

Sooooo...the suit comes out of her boob?  Does that qualify it as a breast implant?

probably the first time Ive been excited for a metroid game in some time. 
 
I personally like the 3d view shift.  the Primes always felt like 3d shooters that were forcibly limited  because they weren't supposed to be FPS game, they also felt somewhat clunky as a platformer.  Now you know when you are in 3d view its for precision and exploring.   
 
That line she says at the end was pretty badass too.

Looks pretty interesting, some nice environments too. I'm still not sure on Samus' new look and voice though.
