Monokuma Returns in Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair

super excited for this, the first one was a complete out of nowhere hit for me this year.

Do these Danganrompa games give you a Persona 4 type of feel with being a Japanese-high-school-mystery-thing, or is the gameplay too wildly different?

In fairness, while the original released in US and EU territories this year, it's originally from 2010. But good to see that it obviously did well enough that they're wasting no time in getting the second one ported over here. Maybe that'll lead into announcement of a third after this releases too?

The first danganronpa came out in japan in 2010 and the second came out 2012. Its likely we may get a third game in the series at some point though thats is just speculation. The first game was really good and I'm lookng forward to the second

I didn't know there were still games being developed for the PSP? Now that it's becoming a discontinued product, this could be one of the last games to be released for it.

Considering the "survival" nature of the first game, there is a minor spoiler in the cast. Otherwise there is no dialog or references to events that happened in previous game.

@hunkulese: Same way the Phoenix Wright series and Professor Layton series kept chugging along, unique games with a big enough audience and great amount of content that people keep wanting more and more. I don't mind, plan on picking this up once I get a vita too since I loved the original game's premise enough to want more

A friend convinced me to play the first game. I was skeptical because I didn't enjoy the Ace Attorney games. It felt too plodding to me, and the game's logic rarely made any real sense. It was a real surprise that the game was as enjoyable as it was.

Beat the first one, it was a blast, I want more, Excited.

The fist game was fucking crazy. And really good too. It was up there with 999 for me. I'm probably gonna end up getting a VITA just for this series.

I watched a translated walk-through of this game, it's actually WAAAAAAAAAY better than the first one.

I played the first with Japanese audio and english subs. I would be surprised if they didn't do the same with this one.

Haha, the hell? That last one was Byakuya? He put on a few extra hundred pounds or so. The main character in this game looks as generic as the first game's protagonist, but I like the look of the rest of the cast. Really looking forward to this.

I do enjoy this series. It's insane and gorgeous, like a bad girlfriend you just can't quit.
