haven't played this yet, but now I see why it was a contender for Best Music, so good

Starting this video and being immediately hit with that incredible town music made me so happy. This game is so good.

This was the run.

I played this game and I think it's fine but not amazing or anything. I guess I just don't see what everyone else sees in it. I had a good time but it left my mind as soon as I finished it.

This is a really great album. And particularly a very good song.

This was my GotY. It just felt fun to play, even if I was just for 10 minutes or 2 hours.

Been a while since I've found a game I can do that with.

I got to the "Skillness" challenge and gave up. I just could NOT get the hang of how speed or jump timing affected the wall jump height. I was stuck on the same single jump over and over and over for like an hour. And once I finally got it, I died on a later challenge and got stuck in that exact same jump again. Fuuuuck that.

One of my GOTY, loved every second of this game.

Fun video, didn't expect it to be so intense and nerve wracking just to watch.

And beating it with half a heart left, followed by a perfect ending to the stream.

Sunk about 15 hours into this. Loved it. Had no idea these trials existed!

I never played the first. I finished this today at 13 hours, 75% secrets, 17500 gold and 53 deaths. I give it 5 out of 5 homeless persons donated empty bottles.

There are end-game challenges??? Well I guess I'm not done yet.

After watching this video I'm thinking I'm done with it. Not touching those challenges.

@jbick89: Gave up for the same reason. Even watching the skil trial makes me wanna grab a controller and throw it.

Ben, its like this On the Mend with Ben series is now suddenly covering indie games I loved from 2017. First it was Battle Chef Brigade and now Steamworld Dig 2! Now I'm eager to get through these insanely hard challenges later.

"Det ska va gött å gräva" rough translation: "it should be fun to dig"

I enjoyed this game but the story really let me down. The "dark world" was so incredibly tense and alien and then it just never goes back to that point. Even the chase sequence is genuinely terrifying and it feels like the setup for something much bigger, but instead it ends with kind of a toot and credits roll before you can blink.

Satisfying gameplay loop but very disappointing story.

idk about anyone else but I'd like to see Ben do some streaming from home occasionally now that he has a functional PC. This was cool.

Dude. THAT was impressive. 11/10.

I love this game alot, but I couldn't even get this far. When you first encounter those robots, that's where I got stuck :/ game really ramps up in difficulty.

It's not a real saying as far as I can tell.
