I remember getting my head shaved when i got into college(hazing tradition in Brazil) and holy crap it felt weird. Showering without hair felt so strange, it tickles.

Buy a clipper Dan. Start cutting your own hair. It's the best decision I've probably made in the last 10 years. I do a #8 all around then a #6 on the sides and back.
