God, I fucking love listening to Jaffe talk. You can just feel his passion in his craft and you know he wouldn't trade it for the world.

I want this game to succeed, but I don't see how this game will sell very well. Twisted Metal wasn't even shown at Sony's E3 Press Conference?

Jaffe is so passioned about the game and knows every little thing about it. That is what I call a good interview. This makes me very excited for a game I didn't care for in the first place.

This is pushing the limits of what can be called an interview, Ryan doesn't really have to be there.
It's great to see someone so enthusiastic about their game though and, I gotta admit, its raised my interest.

I really liked Calling All Cars. I never felt like it wasn't worth the money. I'm not at all interested in this game, though.

Kind of like the John Carmack interview. Ask the man one question and sit back for 5 minutes.

David is easily my favorite personal developer. He is so damn vocal about how passionate him and the people he works with are. He never acts like he is changing the world of gaming, he just loves the shit the he does.

Also this looks great. I am really looking forward to it.

It's great to see a game designer with such passion and one who cuts out all of the bullshit PR-type answers. The game looks great, can't wait to play it come February, I just hope my course load allows me to enjoy it.

I so want this game to do well, just so the genre doesn't go away again.

Also I'm hoping for something fucked up in the collectors edition, I would pay +£100 easily for a Doll Face mask.

Man, that guy can talk his ass off. He's so self-indulgent in his descriptions and leaves nothing to interpretation. That's what I love about him, though.

I'm old enough to remember when car combat could be entertaining, so I hope this proves to be as reinvigorating as Street Fighter IV was for fighting games.

I still hate God of War, though.

Kind of like the John Carmack interview. Ask the man one question and sit back for 5 minutes.

Carmack is my favorite interviewee in all of gaming.  He is incapable, or unwilling, to simplify any particular concept he's trying to describe.  Nothing is too tedious, nothing too technical.  You ask him a broad question about design choices and he'll jump into all kinds of minutia about texture mapping and framerate.  He's awesome.

Cant wait for this game, agree with Jaffe about the value. If i had to choose the price for games judging by the value something like COD: MW 3 will be 10$ for SP and 15$ for MP, this game still  60 $.

Why is nobody excited about this game???  Is it because we have move on from this genre or does Kevin Butler need to start advertising this game?

Personally, I played TM back in the day, and it was fun. Somehow, and I do not know how to explain this, I just don't want to play a new twisted metal.  Or any TM for that matter. Sorry, Jaffe, but I do not like car shooter games anymore. Even though I do love u.

I will try out your game, but too much COD over the past few years have soured me of this competitive genre.

I would so pay for a David Jaffe soundboard. I would put it on my iPhone, right next to my iSamJackson.

But seriously, there's probably no one in the industry, besides maybe Tim Schaefer, with as much passion and enthusiasm for his work as Jaffe. The man just radiates love for this industry and the games he makes with his team, and you can tell he takes immense pride in making this an awesome game on it's own and not being a market-fed mouthpiece like I've seen in a lot of people in interviews.

I preordered this last month because I love me some Axel, and seeing how he plays, I can definitely tell that I'll like him even more. The sheer chaos of the game is enticing, but it maintains a sort of order that so far I can only compare to Smash Bros. Jaffe may talk a lot about knowing he won't be the next Gears of War or Uncharted 3, but I know this game will be great. I can feel it in my bones.

I've been playing Twisted Metal since I was 6 (thankfully skipping over 3 and 4) and it's so fun to see the game that kickstarted a genre come back. This was why I got a PS3 this year. This is a day 1 purchase for me, and I know Jaffe will make it worth it.

Wow, this game looks pretty good. Wasn't really on my radar but some of that off-screen gameplay for the game looks really cool. Too bad it's not coming out till February next year looks about ready to me.

As a long-time fan of the Twisted Metal games, I didn't know what to think about this game until now. After watching three footage I just saw...and not taking into account the things that Jaffe had to say, this game is looking the sum of all its parts will come together nicely.

Agreed on both points. Love hearing him speak so passionately about his games. He also understands the crucial concept of "cheap shit" in games. God of War 1 has ruined action games for me because of it's near perfect balance of combat.
