I'm only halfway through but whenever the camera shows Ryan he looks so goddamn dazed and confused.

Never actually played any Twisted Metal, but I did play plenty of Interstate '76 and Carmageddon 1, so might be interested to see what it's about.

I'm glad it's going to turn out fine.

After many years now, I zone out when Jaffe's talking. It's the sound of his voice and the way he's talking that leave me numb.

As for the game itself, it sure looks like a lot of fun, but it's really not my kind of game...

Glad to see Jaffe excited about his game, but I'm still not convinced this game is going to be good - at the end of the day, I just don't think the arena car combat genre works any more. You can layer as much extra-polished stuff on top of it as you want, but the core of Twisted Metal is clearly still there, and it still seems like the gaming world has moved on.

but does adding layers upon layers of objectives in a mode make it a better mode ,i think its important to note ; how do they relate to each seemlessly or not and if either/or is helpful or not  
 
and does modes upon modes in a game really give the maker of said game 'strategic design' points or are they just throwing everything at the game but the kitchen sink  
 
i think out of respect for david jaffe and many alike am gonna say this game " looks like it sucks shit ,but i haven't played it and am giving it the benefit of the doubt  "

I love David Jaffe. I love his brain. And I have never played any of his games. Still, I'm so fucking glad he exists.

I love the guys enthusiasm, it's great seeing him getting all kinds of excited about the game.

That alone makes me consider buying it, it also helps that he seems to really understand what gamers want out of their games: a good value for the money they paid

What an impressive dude. Usually personalities like this have a high potential to piss me off but Jaffe totally makes the passionate, high-energy thing work for him somehow!

Man, I feel like the stuff they need to be talking about concerning this game is WHY car combat matters today. I don't care about "how cool each weapon is" for each driver, because that all means nothing if the genre isn't relevant.

I think it's pretty much decided that there's no amount of hype or marketing that is going to do this game justice because of how far Car Combat has dropped off the radar. Only thing that is going to judge this game is if the final product is actually fun to play.

I have no interest in this game :(

David Jaffe could make me buy my own shit.

I am very ready for more Twisted Metal. TM2 was my jam for quite some time during my formative years.

Why does deathmatch with guns matter today? It's the same competitive nature that drives us, the only difference is it's done from a third person perspective with cars. It's like music, different strokes for different folks. There is room for every genre of music.

I played this at PAX and it was incredible! There is so much happening on screen that I had a hard time keeping up. I love how old school it feels but at the same time it feels fresh because they have incorporated so many modern aspects to it.

And this is just one interview, imagine how many people he had to explain this to over and over again. If I were David Jaffe I would probably be effin exhausted after a day of that. Props for the awesome interview though.

How does it look like a fun downloadable game? It has just as much single player and multi player experience as any other big release coming out this year. It certainly has far more content than any call of duty game will, and certainly has more creativity and innovation. I just don't understand where this comment comes from. It's complete ignorance at it's finest. The game has multiple single player campaigns, co-op campaigns, multiple multi player online modes, persistent statistics, ranks and full trophies. Exactly what makes this game fit into the downloadable experience exactly? You know what else would be awesome: Twisted Metal TNT with Jaffe on the couch.

Always been a big fan of Twisted Metal, can't wait for this.

I don't have a PS3 but this game makes me wish I did. The only PS3 exclusive that I really want to play that is currently announced.
