Big IF, but if they can really knock it out of the park from a story standpoint, this game could have GotY potential. The world is still waiting for a truly epic Wild West video game. This might be it.

GTA4 from a Western perspective? And is the horse riding going to be as fluid as good ol' Epona?

This gives me an urge to watch "The good, the bad and the ugly".
Which means that it is the greatest trailer in a long time.

This could be great, it's a period and setting which is yet to be overused, so it could be great. Plus, Rockstar = goodness.

We are in dire need of a Western video game that truly captures the uniqueness of the frontier time period. *fingers crossed*

I don't remember the first game being that well-received, aside from some above-average ratings, but I'm pretty sure it had a lot of potential that will hopefully be somewhat realized here. Plus, we need more Old West games nowadays.

Wow, Rockstar has the best damn voice acting in games. My dad was way into the first game, he'll probably be excited about this.

Looks like GTA4 quality game set in the old west.  This may be the old west game I have been waiting for!   Very exciting stuff.  What an amazing time to be a gamer!

I'm super excited. It looked like a Western GTA IV, which has to equal pure awesome.

Also, the first one was great, and an open world western game has been proven to be a great idea (GUN was awesome)

I'm interested western themed games seem to be surprisingly rare.

Probably the most underrepresented theme or time period in gaming. Even the middle ages get more games. I'm seriously hoping this is good. Those visuals look a bit dated though.

I liked Red Dead Revolver.  I really did.

It had flaws; but quick draw was a fun minigame once you got good at it, and could make boss fights better; and the over the top enemies... well hell at times if felit like the Adventures of Brisco County Jr.

I disliked the train levels... but thats a personal think I think... it was good though that mostly you could just climb back on if you fell.  Its a western game though... I think you need those levels or people will call shennagins...

I wish more developers would hire the same calibur of voice talent and writing as Rockstar. The narration in this trailer totally made up for the low-res video.

Also... if you're dying for a good western story you should all pick up a season of Deadwood on DVD and give it a try. Brilliant show. : )

Hmmmmm this trailer looks far worse on this website then on IGN.
The visuals on this trailer look pretty poor in some areas.

God, how awesome would it be to see a character like "the Judge" from Blood Meridian in a video game.
