While GTA has been refining its jank, Saint's Row has been reveling in it.

It's cruel and unusual punishment to release this game in November 2011. Sigh...

Never played a Saints Row, but if you can toss wiener mascots then I'm in... in 2012.

Can't wait for this one. Picked up SR 2 on sale a few weeks ago and have been totally hooked ever since. This game is seriously like crack. 3 looks even more insane.

@joachimo: But clearly not the sane-est of rows. So glad they "get" why this series has become more than "that XBox 360 GTA ripoff". They revel in the stupidity and over-the-top craziness. It's great.

Not that I dislike GTA4 (especially Ballad of Gay Tony), mind you. I just like each series for different reasons.

funny how this is one of the few games that actually emphasize "fun", all the other god damned games are trying to be either "real" or "cool/hip" which imo is dumb as fuck.. aren't we all tired of the bland fps'? anyway, getting this day1, just hope they don't screw up the pc version..

Aiit, I get it, and Yes I enjoy it. Saints Row is wacky fun.

The thing is, SR2 was also "serious" enough to not just be about the absurdaties. Im kinda bored of the whole "Haha, Look at how ca-ca-ca-CRAAAZY we are!" campaign at this point. Id like to see if the story-line will keep me playing all the way trough. Or if ill end up just doing all the wacky stuff for a while and the novelty would run dry..

It doesn't matter how much cool theoretical shit and how many neat objects they drop into this game if the controls and performance are absolute shit. And since it's a SR game, my money's on the shit part.
