Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Gameplay Montage

Played the demo, not for me.

i thought the demo was pretty fun but not worth 60 bucks. It would be a good rental for sure

Needs a little bit more polish.  namely using the force power.

Haven't try the demo myself but the games coming out very soon so I don't see it being polished anymore.

Yeah - I thought it looked pretty rough in spots too.  Like the main menu - wtf?

Nice music. I like picking up stormtroopers and gently letting go over an abyss.

Looks like it will certainly be something fun to screw around with but I'm not so sure about something worth buying.

The demo was a major disappointment, I think more people were put off by the demo than being amazed by it.Lucasarts should have probably just saved the demo and instead just put out this...."product". Very similar to Assassins creed, in the sense that it feels good yet at the same time just feels so clunky and unrefined and unpolished. Very hard to recommend, the whole point of the force unleashed seemed lost on me as the powers seemed extremely weak and dont even get me started on the saber....too many major design flaws for me to put aside, Very disappointing.

All i heard were nice things about this game and in secret i was shaking my head. It's nice for them to be developing the physics and making that work really well, but it got kind of boring even in  the demo. The game around it needs to be one of the most polished things ever.

i too think light sabers are cooler than over exploited force powers. but this game is really fun and even though the demo was a bit lackluster, i still had a great time playing it (several times)

I personally think the physics alone make the game fun. Sword combat feels right, sounds blend right into whats happening. Though if it did not have DMM or Euphoria, it just would not be acceptable. Havok is good but very standard in most games now it does not blow me away.

After playing GTAIV on Euphoria, it makes it hard to watch how fake the ragdoll is in this game.  I played it last night, the grip doesn't feel like it's implemented that well and the camera seems to want you dead sometimes.

It reminds me of Psy-ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy. Except that Psy-ops had that cool ability of lifting them off the ground & make their heads explode.

If the lightsabor combat is deep, and the story is very good, it may save the game from becoming repetitive.

The saber combat DEFINETLY isn't deep. It's basically just hitting X (or square) over and over again til they die. The strong point of the game is how cool the force powers are to use. I had a blast with it.

I agree that the game is really not more than an elaborate techdemo but the fact that it's STAR WARS if enough for me to buy it.

at first i wasnt going to play this game but after playing the demo i will buy these game ...i just want to see what you have to do to earn points in this game......i can see the craziness that you will have two do

as for the game, well ...as much of a star wars fan that I am, i just can't get excited about this game (although the video enticed me a bit)..  ultimately i think it'll end up being a rental only for me

This game looks like more of a physics toy than an actual game of course that`s basically the only thing they have been advertising it as so far so it could very well be a very good action game. But it just looks like they`ve sacrificed gameplay / difficulty to make you feel unstoppable.

Demo saved me from buying an average game. Too many games out in the fall i'll just rent this one.

Glad I wasn't the only one to play Psi-Ops, though you could strafe while picking someone up in that game right?

Also does anyone else want an mature rated star wars game or at least one that has limb removal like Jedi Knight 2. Any time you cut some one with a lightsaber and nothing happens to their character model it makes it feel like your hitting them with plastic.

I thought the demo was pretty tight except for the length, and it's not at all like assassins creed, theres like 5 fucking moves you can use in that game. Theres 2 dozen combos and a handful of force moves in this.I just dont see the whole controversy of it being clunky, it seemed like a very enjoyable game.

Probably not for me...Played the demo. Seems like yer runnin around doin the same thing over and over. The grip control seemed to grip objects i wasn't expecting at times (awkward) , force push's just good for doors ( more fun then opening most doors in games...gotta give it that ) , lightsaber felt next to useless since you can't block and move at the same time ( feels like a developer decision to prevent people from runnin around killing folks with the light saber forcing players into "kicking ass with the force").
Dunno though, the Jedi Knight demo may have only come across as "just an average FPS game" but the actual game turned out to be awesome...so ya never know. Waiting for the reviews but my hopes are not that high right now.
