Episode 1 was released November 25th 2014.

Other than that major problem it has been surprising great.

It's been proving more fruitful to wait on buying telltale's games until closer to being done (especially with how much lower they go on sale that that point). The episodic nature made sense at one point, but now it just drags on. That aside, Tales from the Borderlands feels like the best stuff they've been doing in a while.

@sworen: For comparison season one of Walking Dead went from April to November.

This will go November to October.

My body is not ready. Also Loaderbot is clearly the hero of the story.

Ive loved it. I also feel like its been so long and the story is so complex that i could play the whole thing again and make different choices, getting a whole new experience out of it. Which i will prolly do.

Cant wait to see how it ends.

Loaderbot rules.

This is the best thing Telltale has made in my opinion. Combines their ability to nail emotionally compelling storytelling in their modern games, with the fun comedy of their earlier stuff. I have no investment in Borderlands (I think the writing in those games is terrible) but I love this thing. It's great and it's fun.

Really great musical title card montages. Episodes 3 is when it became clear this thing was really great, and episode 4 followed up on that really well. Hopefully they can stick the landing. They clearly have a bunch planned.

I actually JUST bought this when it was on sale on steam this week, and I'm really glad I did. Only on episode 3, but I'm seriously loving it. I didn't expect to like it as much as I have, so it was a very nice surprise. Glad to hear that I won't have long to wait for the concluding episode, so I might hold off on the rest of the episodes until the fifth one comes out.

I'm really surprised at how much I liked the season so far. It started off kind of flat for me, but this has turned into one of the funniest games I've ever played. Genuine laugh out loud moments.

It's been fantastic. Unfortunately the GB staff won't experience it as I feel there is a general writing off of anything story related when it comes to Borderlands.

Really took the bitter taste Walking Dead Season 2 left.

@sworen: Whenever I find a Telltale game I find interesting I always wait for the sale. They take so long that by the time the next summer/winter sale rolls around they are available for 5 dollars even though the last episode may have only released a month or two prior.

I don't like the other Borderlands games, but Tales has been fucking great. It's really funny, but still nails the dramatic moments. I think it's the best thing TellTale's ever done.

Played till the 3rd episode and really liked what I saw. The long gap between episodes sucks though, so I'll be playing through the whole thing when the last one is released.

@alex it's on my Top 10 this year for sure, good chance it will be in my Top 5 if it sticks the landing. This is the best work that Telltale has done since Walking Dead Season 1. It's a near perfect blend of the humour they used to be known for with the structure and hard choices of their new stuff. I don't mind that the release schedule has been inconsistent because the quality of each episode speaks for itself.

Incredible voice cast, Troy Baker gets to play around with a meek cowardly character which is very different than what he has been doing lately. Laura Bailey is fantastic as the tough and sly Fiona. Erin Yvette and Chris Hardwick both play great supporting characters. Dave Fennoy and Adam Harrington (Lee Everett and Bigby Wolf) have a fun recurring role as thugs. Patrick Warburton, Nolan North and Ashley Johnson also have great recurring characters.

Even the Borderlands stuff is better here than it has been in those games, the writing is smarter and there is more room for characters to grow. Mikey Neumann has some really great moments as Scooter and Dameon Clarke who was kinda annoying in Borderlands 2 as Handsome Jack has some well thought out and hilarious gags he does with his holographic body.

But if I was to pick one amazing thing from this series it would be the title sequences for each episode, the music choice, animation and staging in each of those sequences makes me giddy every time, it's so good. Giant Bomb should have a best Title Sequence award this year and it should go to Tales from the Borderlands Episode 2: Atlas Mugged, just phenomenal.

I think the first episode was fantastic, then it was kind of a slow burn until the previous one which I loved thoroughly. This is the Telltale game I recommend if someone asks about this sort of genre. Walking Dead season 1 is obviously a more solid experience overall, but it's also way dark and kind of a feel-bad bummer. This series has been all about the feel-good :)

Literally my favorite Telltale Game series now. I went into this super expecting to hate it since I've always been so "meh" about Borderlands but maaan, Tales from the Borderlands is freaking hilarious.

Pretty excited for this. I wish more people played this game, because I think it's the best Telltale comedy game. It's nothing amazing in general, but it might have the best "cinematic"/visual comedy ever done in games.

I've been playing about an episode a week for the last month and enjoyed it FAR more than I expected to. Loved the first two episodes.

Episode 3 felt a bit sloppy - I ran into a handful of "continuity errors" where the dialogue I was served up didn't quite fit with what had actually happened, and it pulled me out of it.

Episode 4 was great again, though. The finger gun sequence was 5 minutes of pure joy.

If you told me this was going to be one of my most anticipated releases a month ago, I would have slapped you in the mouth. Unfortunately I won't get to play it for a few days after release, but hopefully they manage to wrap it all up better than their other episodic games.

As someone who doesn't like the other TellTale games much at all, I hope this is a sign of things to come. Also, please give me more Puzzle Agent already!

It's definitely my favorite TTG series. I liked TWD and whatnot well enough, but this strikes the perfect balance between nail-biting tension and side-splitting laughter in a way very few other games do.

I am so excited. Hearing all this great stuff about the series makes me look forward to starting to play this very soon. I went through TWAU and it reminded me how much I loved Telltale, but this game was only up to episode 3 by that point. I much prefer to have everything ready to play all the way through, so I very much look forward to binging Borderlands, even though I have literally no attachment to the franchise.

It's a shame this hasn't been getting more attention because it's the first really good season of anything that Telltale has put out since TWD S1. I don't necessarily like the writing that you typically see in Borderlands, but they really knocked it out of the park here. Contrasts very heavily with their lackluster Game of Thrones episodes.

I look forward to playing this from the beginning. After Wolf Among Us I got burned out with waiting extended periods of time for episodes to come out.

Better than Walking Dead Season 2. Also the fact that Blues and Bullets has launched to little fanfare shows how hard this kind of game is to truly nail. It certainly helps that Telltale rely on popular franchises but this and Life is Strange are the height of the genre right now.

I love this, between Life Is Strange & Tales it's a tough choice, right now both are in my top 10, which is not something I'd have expected at the start of the year.

I hope someone on the crew gives both the tile of day before GOTY discussions, there's definitely at least some character of the year nominees in both games, if nothing else.

I don't know if I'm in the minority here, but this is both my favorite in the Borderlands series and my favorite TT games franchises. I can't wait til Tuesday.

Without question the best thing the company has ever put out. Without. Question. And by a hugely significant amount. It just does much cooler stuff with the engine than any of the other games, and has the writing chops to back all that up. And yeah, the intro sequences are spectacular.

You guys who love this, what did you think of the sense of humor in Borderlands 2? Because the only joke I laughed at was the TMNT side mission and practically every character annoyed me. Is this more of that style or is it something else?

Just downloaded episode 1 on PS4, which is free right now, and I finished it in one sitting. It was fantastic. A much more lighthearted game compared to their other series' and I've found it hilarious! Actual laugh out loud jokes in the dialogue and other things scattered throughout the world. That monster museum is a stand out by far. My favourite gag, if you could call it that, came from just scanning a dead body your robot eye.

It said: Cause of Death: Stabbing. Last Words: Oh yeah! What are you going to do? Stab Me?

Anyways, I'm buying the complete first season on the weekend!!

I've sat down with a drink and played each episode as they've come out; a first for me and Telltale. It's been great.

You better bloody believe I picked step three.
