@redwing42: they're both in, at least that's what I gather by 2 generations of Sting. I have always been a WWF guy, but I watch everything I can and did as a kid also. This commercial go me freakin' pumped, love that song, love that character, I can't wait

This got the live crowd so hyped last night, and then all their hopes were shattered.

Such a top quality promo, the best wrestling related thing that aired in months. Pity it was likely not internally produced within WWE - and probably all done on 2Ks end. I actually don't think WWE could even pull something like this off in its current state.

That was a dumb way to introduce a new wrestler to this wrestling game, but then they said 80's Sting was included so we're cool.

Me too. The possibility to play as Sting from the Police on a wrestling game would make me want to rent a wrestling game though.

The quick cut clip at the end of the video makes me remember the days of when Sting terrorized the nWo....so good.

What if you could sting makeup a guy and he runs in and he's an unknown. He's got a chair, who was that? He hit the Honkey Tonk Man with a chair.

If you're going to debut Sting in anything WWE, this is just about the perfect way to do that. Marked out like a little kid over this video. Plus, Sting's Crow music is kind of the best for this sort of dramatics.

Count me in as another sucker who will probably pre-order and be disappointed terribly.

I watched this earlier today and thought it was a pretty good overview of Stings entire history, but the video quality is pretty poor.

Question is... will Sting accept the invitation to Vader's White Castle of Fear(TM)???

Call me crazy but I'd rather see him actually appear in front of a crowd that would likely flip the hell out for him, rather than appearing for the first time after a 25+ year wait...in an advertisement for a video game.

This was literally the only guy left of any notability that had never appeared in WWE*, it's a shame that more wasn't made of it.

As rad as this was, last years ultimate warrior commercial was better. Although, the orchestra version of stings theme is bad ass.

I probably won't pre-order, but this was a great short clip / advertisement. Definitely gets you excited about the idea of him in WWE that's for sure.

The live crowd went nuts when this trailer played, then immediately started booing when they realised it was only for the game and that he wouldn't actually be showing up.

Wow...as a wrestling fan and a Police fan. These jokes are so 20 years ago.

The only place I knew sting from was from the movie Dune.. Learning years later he was a wrestler and singer made his performance in Dune make so much more sense to me :-)

Not gonna lie, I'm really looking forward to bouncing from turnbuckle to turnbuckle and unleashing Stinger Splashes on everyone.
