@brad, the two surgeons need to have a conversation to get the opportunity info. Because you knocked them out, you couldn't continue the opportunity. Pretty weird the indicator stays up for some reason. (I guess if they got woken up you could theoretically continue the opportunity, but still).

edit: the disposable scrambler is an item you can get from levelling up... colorado, I want to say? There's also one hidden in the map but it's pretty hard to find.

Ending: She isn't turning on 47. Providence wants to hire her (and 47) to take down the mysterious bad guy you saw at the end of the last mission, and she agreed when she was offered information about 47's past.

There was a room with a heart in it. They then leave and are stupified. I thought i saw an option to take the heart and they ignored it?

There was a disposable scrambler in the "kill room" where you killed the pilot and the lead surgeon. It is on the bottom shelf.

The room with the pill stash? There's a crowbar on that shelf, but nothing else.

It's been fantastic watching Brad and Dan slowly realize how deep and awesome this game is! I can only hope for more elusive target videos and for continued "quick look"-ing of season 2 and beyond.

@brad, you need to be careful when you equip weapons like wrenches or anything really. If you are holding them openly, like in the room with the heart. The guards or anyone who sees you brandishing those items becomes suspicious or possibly hostile depending what the item is. It happened multiple times in these last couple videos.

There is an icon at the lower right of the screen showing which item you currently have equipped. If the icon is solid, you are holding said item out in the open, if the icon is just an outline then you are not. This can be detrimental to success..

Wrenches are fine to carry anywhere anytime. As are crowbars, screwdrivers, hammers, and scissors. Plus other things of course but the above is The Good Stuff.

"Now you're compromised, so snap his neck!"

Dan's proficiancy at Hitman on display right there. All it means is that the guard would have been on the lookout for a suspicious bodyguard, like the one who knocked him out, if someone else woke him up, and if they didn't change disguises. Bodies in hiding places are never found, so simply stashing him in the closet would have been enough to make the "compromised" message go away forever, regardless of disguise. Ah well.

Edit: I complain because I love you guys. Your excitement over a tense moment or successful kill never fails to cheer me up. Glad you learned some of what I hoped you'd realize toward the end of the video, and I'm glad you kept this series up for the whole season! Gave me two reasons to be excited about new content of the game. Thanks!

This has been a great series guys! Just like Agent 47, it never disappoints. I don't know if you'll be able to continue it coast to coast with Season 2. I imagine that would be difficult considering the time difference. Maybe someone else will have to fill Dan's seat on the West Coast. Whatever happens, it's been a great run, and I'd put in a vote for more. Cheers!

Maybe we'll get an Illusive Target or two before Dan leaves.

@brad@danryckertThe ending isn't saying that Ms. Burnwood and the ICA are going to turn on 47, they're talking about targeting that mysterious sniper / assassin dude that's in the end cutscenes for Paris, Sapienza, and Colorado. So, not quite as mind blowing, but still an interesting set up for Season 2 that confirms that the other assassin (47's brother / experiment buddy?) will be featured again.

Great job @brad and @danryckert. You really improved a lot and put out a lot of great content over the course of this season. I really appreciate that you guys were able to play really competently on the last one while still making it fun. If someone wants to play Hitman 100% serious or 0% serious, I'm not really into it, but you guys are striking a nice balance. If you guys continue to put out more content like this, it'll be a good reason to continue as a premium subscriber.

@brad They played the "Diane appears to turn on 47 but is actually a double-double-agent" card in Blood Money to glorious effect. She's supposed to poison him, but instead gives him something that induces a temporary death-like state similar to what Juliet took in Romeo and Juliet. The final sequence of the game has you waking up at your own funeral and murdering everyone present.

Honestly, I don't think 47 would make it very far with Diane as an enemy. She's the actual biggest badass of the Hitman universe.

@brad@danryckert Since you're playing the PS4 version, you guys should still give the PS-exclusive Sarajevo Six missions a go at some point. Maybe the summer bonus "A House Built on Sand" one as well.

Also thanks for this brilliant series! Easily along the best content of 2016 I've watched here.

@brad@danryckert Did the same thing with the morgue opportunity the first time.

It's kind of busted. You're supposed to listen to the two morgue doctors' conversation, but the opportunity icon shows up over the corpse, making you think they have nothing to do with it, or need to be taken out to get to the thing. And the icon doesn't disappear if you knock either of them out, despite the opportunity now effectively being expired.

Technically you could place their unconscious bodies in the path of someone who could wake them up, but how the hell are you supposed to know you could restore the opportunity by doing that? You'll just assume some glitch is preventing a prompt from showing up by the corpse.

Assuming their interest in the game holds up, I'd have to imagine they'll continue attempting elusive targets for as long as IO puts them out, which I think they'll just keep doing as they roll into season 2.

Yeah when I played through it I thought they meant turning on 47 but yeah the 2nd time through I understand what they meant now. I think it's a bit confusing because they talk without actually mentioning names.

I love this game. I still have to get the last three episodes though. I fell off [not because I was no longer having fun or interested] but I was lacking time, and when the bonus episodes came out there was no way for me to get them... [and still are not?] and I kinda got bummed out and stopped paying attention. I mean, I have been buying them individually on PC and as far as I can tell there is no way to get the bonus episodes that way without then basically buying a large chunk of the game a second time....

I think Marrakesh is pretty underrated. It isn't one of my total favorites of the first three I played, but there is some awesome stuff you can do in there that is pretty sick. I think Marrakesh showed me a lot about how there are scripted in ways to kill guys that are most def not parts of bonus objectives. The one I think MOST people have never even seen is this: I found out about this when I was first doing the mission, someone was talking about getting the general guy's dinner to him. I ended up exploring and realized you can kill the general by basically poisoning this little random food in the streets, and then go and waking up this guy who is sleeping in some ally. About 5 minutes after you do that, the guy will eventually deliver the food to him, and you never have to go into the place period, as the general will just die [assuming the correct poison]. Just poison the food in some random place, then wake up this guy sleeping, walk away, and he will be dead while you go and kill the other guy.

I am def going to buy Bangkok now though and continue playing, as I have a little extra time. Can't spend the extra cash for the rest just yet but hopefully before long!

Even beyond just getting mastery level 20 in those, there are so many other cool and fun things to do in that game. Some of the escalation stuff and challenge stuff is actually pretty sweet, and the user created missions thing doesn't get enough credit.

I spent a bunch of time yesterday getting my Paris mastery to level 20 and knocking out the rest of the trophies there, and I'm confident in saying I improved more at Hitman in that one afternoon than in the entire preceding year of playing the game on camera for about three hours a month. Most people don't think about how hard it is to retain any kind of skill when you play that way.

Also, despite having a huge stack of Fall games I need to try for GOTY, I... don't want to play anything but Hitman right now.

Ending: She isn't turning on 47. Providence wants to hire her (and 47) to take down the mysterious bad guy you saw at the end of the last mission, and she agreed when she was offered information about 47's past.

Ah that's good to know, I assumed that dude was working for Providence. Gonna go back through the entire game and actually pay attention to it now that we're done with the main story videos.

So they finally figured out the scrambler/Mastery Unlocks thing. Also they sorta whiffed on the story stuff, with the Providence Agent not asking you to turn on 47 but to work with 47 to take out the guy from the end of Colorado who maybe grew up with 47.

Eh, close enough. They'll probably brush up before Season 2/GOTY stuff.

IIRC they had hired him to play 47 in Hitman Absolution before hiring Bateson back. This was basically them finding a role for him because they liked him so much and were sorry about how things turned out.

@brad: Fucking yes! So glad to hear you've kicked the tires a bit on this game to see how to master/exploit the game for maximum fun. You feel so much more badass when you know how things are likely to work, which makes the panicking when things go wrong feel even more exhilarating.

Since you're on PS4, you actually get a series of 6 missions exclusive to that platform, "The Sarajevo Six", which I hear were actually pretty okay but end very strongly because they went back and did new dialogue and mission briefings for each one.

Also you guys never did the 2nd special episode: you did nighttime Sapienza ("The Icon") on the movie set, but you skipped nighttime Marrakesh ("A House Built on Sand"), which I actually liked. There's also a 3rd special episode ("Landslide", on Sapienza) that is supposed to be coming out in the near future, and of course the continuing series of Elusive Targets, so I hope Hokkaido is not the last time we'll be seeing Hitman for a while.
