The Second Half of That Hitman DLC: Hokkaido

@brad: great to hear you are enjoying it in your own time! Boy do i ever hope to hear your patented arguing skills during GOTY to get this game some of the love it deserves. Still holding out hope for a video of the night Marakkesh mission from the Summer bonus. I need hitman in my veins!

@alavapenguin: If you're buying buy the episode, all three bonus missions are being packaged together as a 7th episode. People who bought the whole thing upfront got two of the three bonus missions early.

@brad they aren't talking about 47 in the last cutscene, it's the mysterious operative, possibly a clone similar to 47, that they showed in the Colorado map cutscene who was going to snipe 47 and other cutscenes previous. He has been working against Providence and the ICA. The Providence operative that talks to Burnwood on the train is hiring Burnwood and 47 to go after him.

EDIT: I see others told ya. The story in this one is subtle but I think pretty interesting. It definitely hearkens back to the past games style, which I always enjoyed.

I haven't watched this yet, but I'd love to see a new Breaking Brad series where he tries to get more mastery in whatever level he wants to get some of the more ridiculous items in there. He keeps saying he wants to play more of it for that reason, but hasn't followed up on it yet.

@brad: Cool. I didn't mean to imply anything about your skill in Hitman, I am pretty bad at it myself. I also tried to raise my mastery level of Paris today and though I am close, I have not gotten to 20 yet. Had a lot of fun though and I will get it there tomorrow.

And although I have owned Hitman since it came out, you and Dan were the ones that rekindled my interest in it and I am glad that you did because it is a fantastic game.

That was a great finish, I'm glad the guys decided to circle back instead of following some of the other threads. There's a surprising number of ways to kill Soders despite him being an immobile target. But there's something special to 47 just casually tossing the one-in-a-million mirror image heart in the thrash, and walking away.

@brad What I really love about who becomes suspicious of you with certain disguises is that it does make sense in-universe to an extent. No matter what disguise you wear in Bangkok, the front desk worker at the hotel will always recognize you, which makes sense considering you literally check in with him face to face in most cases right from the start. Bangkok is also absolutely worth revisiting. Quickly became one of my favorite maps after putting some time into it.

The mystery dude who had the gun pointed at 47 in Colorado is the "terrorist" your handler is discussing in the finale cutscene, I think, and Providence wants the ICA to take him out in exchange for info about 47's past. That's at least what I took away from it.

Hitman content is the best. I hope you guys do more, especially keeping up on elusives. I would also pay money for a Suit Only / Silent Assassin show with Brad and Dan. Like, serious amounts of money. More than four dollars.

@brad: Do yourself a favor and do the stem cell kill in Japan. Also please consider streaming yourself while doing some of that stuff. I read what you just wrote but it's so much fun to watch. And I did the SA/SO challenge on each map so I'm as much a Hitman perfectionist as one can be.

Great job guys. The heart thing was good but injecting the fish poison stem cells would've been great too. Operating as the head surgeon would've worked too. So many cool oportunities on this map

I really hope they spend some money on the voice acting in Season 2. The american accents and all white people running around all these exotic locations is really dumb. I mean why was there not a single japanese voice or language in this map?

I hope Brad and Dan collaborate one last time and make their own custom contract. I'd love to see what they come up with.

This series has been great and the ending was note perfect. Makes me want to play more Hitman!

Small non-spoiler gameplay tip for Japan:
The symbols on the back of the outfits correspond to the doors those outfits open. So you can tell where you can go just by comparing what you're wearing to the symbols on the security panels.

They were so hung up on finding the scrambler, they didn't seem to catch on to that.

There actually are some Japanese voices in this map.

If you walk around in your patient suit, some of the staff will bow and say something short.

Okay... Hitman's a pretty good game.

I wasn't paying enough attention for most of these videos and my own playthrough, evidently. I spent the whole time thinking that beardy-man that's in those cutscenes WAS Soders.

Staff will greet you with "Ogenki desu ka?" and "Konbaiwa", but that's about it. Most of the dialogue is the same voices from the rest of the maps.

Wait. Jason Isaacs is in this game? Thats pretty cool.
Anyway nice work you two clumsy killers. You've convinced me to get this game.

I'm seeing so many opportunities for access when I try the ninja run.

Throw that heart in the garbage. I definitely want to play Hitman at some point; it really does seem pretty open-ended in some situations.

Kinda hilarious how many people here complain about how they play this game, but then were shouting down anyone who was commenting on the Shenmue endurance run. This isn't even the best game in the series, no reason to complain so much.

Still think Blood Money was superior in some ways because they left some of the features out of this game, and some of the the earlier games had more interesting stories and levels, but this was a still good one.

This was a fun series. Glad you enjoyed the game.

Maybe I misunderstood the last cutscene video, but I thought the stranger was offering your handler information for her help, not planning some sort of betrayal.

The ending to this video is incredible. This is the best Giant Bomb series that ever existed.

Also, what they don't realize is that there is still a bonus episode mission coming. They also never did Marrakesh at night! Come on Brad and Dan, finish the fight!

Holy shit, watching Brads logic drives me crazy. Could have finished this so much easier. I wonder if they are playing on a small tv because they seem to miss very basic shit like doors.

Well it's clear what Brad and Dan's GOTY is.

This game is definitely my game of the year.

Doom, sadly. I could see Hitman taking over after they played it more but it's not going to be GB's GotY. Jeff, for one, won't have the patience for it

With all the things to spend money on, VO isn't in the top ten. It's totally fine and saves money when you don't have to redo all the lines for every location.

Even though I still haven't watched the first couple Hitman videos, I wanna say that this is one of my favorite video series of the site. I really hope that you guys can find a way to keep this going once season two comes out since Dan will be on the east coast by then, because seeing/hearing you guys bust up in laughter at how crazy/dumb/silly this game can get makes me want to buy it and see the stuff you guys missed (as well as master every map).

After watching Dave Lang crush it, it's time to come back down to Earth with the Dan and Brad brand of bumbling stumbling assassination.

@obeast: They certainly have the capability to do east-west streams so I hope it allows Brad and Dan to keep going with the videos.

An awesome thing to see would be if they can simultaneously attempt an Elusive Target mission so we can see both game feeds at the same time :D
