people getting back into aggressive music from yesteryear, especially rap metal, Rage Against the Machine is the fucking shit. Their lyrics are more relevant than they ever were, and their rage is much needed.

I'm listening to the playlist now and i have to say that they didn't mention the worst part of Lady in Red which is where the singer whisper sings "I love you" at the end of the song. i felt dirty in the worst way. Also Temporary Secretary is pretty crazy and maybe i'm with Jeff on this one after being against him just listening to the clips in the cast.

That live version of Temporary Secretary is great, and shows off more of the fun bassline. I can't believe I hadn't heard a lick of that song until this stupid and wonderful feature.

@lazycon: 100% agree. I'd never heard either Secretary or Wango Tango before this video and after listening to both I almost feel like the lovable lad from Liverpool got the short end of the stick. Wango Tango is positively unlistenable, maybe one of the worst songs I've ever heard. I kind of like the instrumentation on Secretary even if it's not a great song, and it's interesting at least, unlike Tango, which is just liquid garbage.

Ted Nugent is a disgusting virulent sexist, and probably racist too. Ted Nugent probably has beaten his spouse before, Ted Nugent has probably had sexual relations with someone under 18, he's a rockstar. And a faux macho masculine 'tough guy' one at that.

If anyone should have a mental hold restriction to not be allowed to own guns, it's Ted Nugent. Wouldn't trust the guy with a butter knife.

Ted Nugent wins my personal Worst of the 80s list!

The intro of Eye of the Tiger hits you in the face, but that also makes the contrast to the ensuing weak verse and tooty vocals that much worse. Pumps you up then lets you down.

Half of that song is bad. The intro and the parts where he yells about tiger eyes are good.

'Whip It' not #1 on the list? Odd.

Late to the party, but Into the Night by Benny Mardones is the worst and most disgusting song of the 80s. Far worse than Little Girls.

FTR the best part of this video is at 2:00:20 when Jeff says, "Look... You wanna start pullin' apart Beatles solo shit, we're gonna be listening to some real fuckin'... [garbage]," inadvertently creating the most perfectly precursory moment of this whole show.

I must have watched this through at least four times now. It's one of my all-time favourite pieces of GB content, and weirdly enough perhaps the most I've ever personally agreed with a Giant Bomb Best Of list (I'm not exactly there, but it's close enough).

I'm with Jeff on Temporary Secretary, though. The more I hear it, the more I kinda love it. It probably did deserve a high spot but it shouldn't have been above Wango Tango, which (Nugent aside) is a genuinely awful song - something I say as a person who very rarely hates popular music enough to not want to hear it at all. For the first five seconds I thought it might be alright but then it just descended into nonsense.

I Wanna Dance With Somebody is one of my least favourite songs of the 80s - but many would disagree. I just find it very irritating.
