Omg my parents probably forked over hundreds of dollars over the years to mk mk 2 and mk 3 machines. In sixth grade I won 200 bucks at a mortal ko bat 2 tournament it was my crowning arcade achievement. I was esports good at mortal kombat.

In an automotive club in high school we had a friend, named Jason, who volunteered to do every dangerous task. I say it was an automotive club but it actually encompassed many disciplines...our most complete project was a solar powered boat which competed in and won a national competition, we also did robotics, tried to turn a '42 Chevy into a hot rod, souped up golf carts for campus security and one time I pulled brodies in a pickup truck with no body panels and a school desk for a driver's seat...anyway we really wanted to take a CRT apart but were worried about the capacitor discharge killing one of us. So Jason said he'd discharge it, he spent 20 minutes throwing a screwdriver at the contacts trying to get an arc until we gave up and just dropped it off a roof. He also wanted to discharge 12 huge capacitors (a little larger than a tall boy) we had paralleled together for the boat project with his tongue. I literally had to tackle him to get him to stop. Another time he decided to test a load on an electric motor by gripping the shaft with his hand wrapped in his shirt, after nearly being choked by his shirt getting wound up on the motor he had to go home and get a new shirt as his was torn.

A quick Bing search found the manual and explained what each dip switch setting does.

@pixeld: There's probably a bunch of problems with that, not least of which would be the studio being a really small space; I bet it's way tinier than it looks to us at home. Plus it'd be littered with wires and equipment that would get in the road while you were shifting the cabinet. It'd be wayyy easier to just do all this in situ and save yourself the pain the arse of moving the cab there and back, even if it does mean a dip in production quality.

For mine, I enjoyed this. Just hangin' out, shooting the shit and noodling around with nigh-arcane arcade shit.

The understandable earlier technical glitches aside, this was hella fun to watch.

Always terrifying digging around or watching someone dig around in arcade machines. Since they uploaded the video I think it's safe to say no one dies a horrible electric death and is safe to watch.

The unarchived beginning part of this was simply magical.

Arcade machines are terrifying when it comes to maintenance. Feel like I've heard a million people say they can kill you in all kinds of ways if you make the slightest of dumb mistakes while handling them lol.
