This and Mark Brown's video solidified that I must play this game before the end of the year.

Great segment! Hitman ended up being such an awesome experience and I hope they keep up with getting creative with the elusive target stuff.

The Io guys' enthusiasm for everything here makes it clear why the game turned out the way it did. Really good video!

Didn't notice that dude's shirt until the end. An "Angel of Death" Jeff Hanneman shirt made up to look like the Heineken logo. Nice. R.I.P., Ring Leader of the Riff.

This Elusive Target was, by far, the easiest. Here's how I did it:

Start in the IAGO auction. Go to the balcony. Subdue the guard there (nobody will notice and you tuck away his body in the corner). Get the guard disguise. Now wait until the target gets to the auction. He will walk out to the balcony, alone, and lean over the rail. Push him to his death. Accidental death, no witnesses, no body found (accidents don't count). Escape. I did get the Sheik costume while I was waiting to make my escape easier and more direct, though.

I fully expect Hitman to fall somewhere in the middle of the top 10 when it comes to GOTY. It's been a fantastic feature but both Brad and Dan have admitted having not put a huge amount of time into it off camera. When the discussions really get down to it I can't see them fighting really hard for it in the top couple of spots against the likes of Doom and Overwatch

This is great content! It's exactly the thing that sets Giant Bomb apart from the crowd - great job Brad and Dan. Also big props to Christian and Sven, those guys seemed to be just as into all this as we (the GB audience) are.

I don't think I would have bought this game if I hadn't seen Brad playing it several times. I got in around the summer bonus missions. Now I am at least level 30 mastery on every level (wish they kept track past 20). I am also on the Hitman Player Panel where I share my experiences and opinions with IOI with the hope of helping them improve future content.

I hope they understand what made Sapienza great. It was the fact that there are many different areas to go and do things in. I don't think every map needs 5+ areas but two areas where you can do things at minimum should be required. I really like the Thailand map but wish you could at least go to the beach and maybe do some stuff there in addition to the hotel stuff.

Doom is a one and done. Sure, the campaign is awesome, but Hitman offers so much more. You could play each level for 30 hours unlocking all the challenges. Not to mention the elusive targets and escalations that are a lot of fun. I played Doom and loved it, but I won't go back to it. Hitman keeps me coming back and I've put way more time into it and have had more fun just because there's so much to do.

A great video. The content from this site has pushed me towards wanting this game. I may wait for the disk version to come out next year as it has some extra content looking at the stores product listing details.

Really curious to see how Japan is and how Brad and Dan work their way through it. I really hope we get to see the Exploding Rubber Duck in use!

And they have seen hundreds of people playtesting this game.

It's not just you. First time I saw the video image, I thought they were doing another thing like they did with Busey.

Came to say the same thing.

@dts: I can't recall many of them right now. The one I do remember though is where he says something like "Keep it in the back of your head", which is a Danish-English translation of "Hold det i baghovedet", which would be more eloquently phrased in English as "Keep it in mind".

Basically he meant, save that for now and remember it later.

Great video to have the actual IO guys there.

Also, the preview of the final episode there, it looks a LOT like a level from one of the previous Hitman games. I remember it was a highly exclusive club for the super rich; you had an aphrodisiac poison, and a guy you and to kill who would hang out in a hot tub with a group, and another target in a private suite. But it was this big spa where lots of people were walking around. Can't remember which game it was... Contracts maybe?

Anyway, the final episode 'preview' reeeeeaaaally reminded me of that level. Looks good!

I'll echo what everyone else has said, this was a really great video. The guys from IO seem great and they really "get" what Brad and Dan are going for. They seem like really cool guys that are proud of whats been made, I wish they could be around for more episodes!

I also think they get what made that season so great - the way the sandboxes are designed. Each level has enough going on mechanically that ghosting through a level is fun and rewarding (decent basic stealth mechanics, good NPC/enforcer placement, and well layered levels) AND plenty of opportunity for hijinks and general Brad-and-Dan-style nonsense if you go for a more visible approach. It's a great combination (I usually go through a level setting off as many opportunities/challenges/weird stuff as possible, then try for Silent Assassin, Suit Only), and one I hope continues.

(I did the opposite on Marrakesh, and went for SASO on my first run. Going in blind with those restrictions is kinda exhilarating, but immensely stressful)
