    Overview

    Virginia is a mystery thriller adventure game developed by Variable State. The player assumes the role of Anne Tarver, an FBI agent attempting to solve a missing person case in 1990s Virginia. The game is played in a first-person perspective and the story is told without dialogue. It was published by 505 Games and released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Windows and macOS on September 22, 2016.

    Development

    According to its creators, the 'cinematic' editing of Blendo Games' Thirty Flights of Loving, and the style of '90s film and TV such as Silence of the Lambs, Twin Peaks, and The X-Files, were the initial inspirations in the development of Virginia.
