Didn't he say once, that he wanted a Knights of the Old Republic remaster or remake? He should do get on that. Voodoo Vince was an odd, but competent game back in the day. Not really worth a revival though.

I'm into it! The original Xbox had a ton of really weird exclusives that are at least interesting to revisit, even if they probably don't hold up as well as something like Halo has. I don't think there should be a "new" Voodoo Vince (or Blinx the Time Sweeper, or... Raze's Hell?) but people should be able to see that game firsthand, especially since it's not backwards-compatible on the 360.

I liked Voodoo Vince at the time so this is cool to see. I wouldn't mind seeing a new Voodoo Vince game.

I thought this was a joke. I associate Vince with, Blinx, Grabbed by the Ghoulies, and other mediocre XBOX demo disc games.

I'm all for quirky games that never found their audience being revived on modern systems. Kinda hoping Conker: L&R gets a similar update and re-release.

I always thought Voodoo Vince looked like a carrot.

Turns out, less so in game.

Eh I think it's cute. At least a non-Nintendo game executive actually has a passion for video games, and you know it's real because if it were pandering there's no way he'd pick Voodoo Vince over Halo or Gears.

Plus I think he's said he loves Voodoo Vince because it was a project he worked on and it is special to him.

Regardless, Voodoo Vince isn't bad. Jeff liked it. It has an amazing soundtrack and unique setting.

It wouldn't be my first choice for Xbox exclusives to remaster, either, but certainly from a preservation standpoint, it's nice that there'll be a version of that game out there that runs on contemporary hardware for posterity. I want to say progress is finally being made on original Xbox emulation in recent months, but it'll still be a long time before that system is in a good place for mainstream users looking to emulate those games, so in the interim, like someone else wrote, I can appreciate giving these quirkier games a second shot at life so that they don't truly wither on the vine in the interim. I'd say it's definitely indicative of the internal culture that Spencer has been able to cater that this sort of project is even possible to begin with now. It's nice.

@humanity: I have fond memories of playing that on demo stations in Kmart, ditto for Voodoo Vince. Never had an OG Xbox and every now and then I think about buying one, just for fun.

Pretty stoked about the amount of platformer games coming out this year. Now I'm just hoping that these will all be quality games and also sell enough, so that this trend keeps on growing.

Kind of an odd choice to remaster. Not Legend of Kay or Cel Damage levels of odd. But, you know, odd. Whatever, I might check it out since I never played the original because it seemed like a cool concept. If you're reading this Xbox (and I know that you are), this would be a good game to discount with Gold.
