Wang Jinrei

Tekken

Wang Jinrei is a brave old man with a kind heart. He remained generous and kind while living as a recluse in the Mishima gardens. He was a close friend of Heihachi Mishima's father, Jinpachi Mishima. After Jinpachi's death, he had put his faith in Heihachi. However, Wang is unaware of Heihachi's true actions (Jinpachi was not killed, he was imprisoned underground by Heihachi). Wang entered The King of Iron Fist Tournament, only to draw with Marshall Law.

Tekken 2

After Heihachi's father, Jinpachi Mishima, "died".( When Heihachi Jinpachi's greedy son built a temple known as Homaru over the top of  his father and tied him down to chains he soons dies of stravation). The Mishima Zaibatsu's direction changed into the military field. Ever since Kazuya defeated Heihachi and took over the company, Kazuya made the company more corrupt than ever, and upon the announcement of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2, Wang enters in order to win the Zaibatsu and bring honor back to the Mishima Empire.

Wang walks up a hill and approaches a grave stone (which many speculate to be Jinpachi Mishima's). He pours a bottled drink on top of the grave stone, then pours some of the drink into a small cup and drinks it. Wang's face is shown as he breathes a sigh of relief as the video ends.

Tekken 5

21 years after the conclusion of The King of Iron Fist Tournament 2, Wang recieves a message that says "I need your help, old friend. Seek me out, Wang Jinrei". The letter was signed "Jinpachi Mishima", and included an invitation to The King of Iron Fist Tournament 5 in it. Believing his friend to be dead, Wang was suprised by the message, and entered the tournament in search of Jinpachi to find his dear lost friend ...Jinpachi.

In Wang's non-canonical ending, we see Wang has defeated Jinpachi. Jinpachi has reverted back to his normal state (with the demon inside him not controlling him), and Jinpachi says he wishes that they could have another drink together, and that his time has come. He then says that "it was fun..." before dissolving into sand Wang yells out to his dead friend Jinpachi!. Wang gets up and stares into the sky and says that "It's the curse of the Mishima Bloodline!"

Tekken 6

Wang Jinrei heard of the Mishima Family's cursed blood from his close friend Jinpachi Mishima. Jinrei was easily defeated during the previous Tournament by Jin Kazama, who's reason for entering was to wipe out the Mishima family. Jin would go on to be the victor of the tournament, and assume control of the Mishima Zaibatsu. Blaming his failure on his lack of action, Jinrei enters The King of Iron Fist Tournament 6 to fix his mistakes.
