Let me start by saying, this is a good game, it is the company that runs it results a 1 star (0 star if I can).consistent. The company that runs this game is Gaijin, they have built their business model around monetization completely. For a free to play game, I understand that they need to make money, but it is so actively to encourage player to pay, that their focus is to make the game harder and harder to progress so you will pay for some progression. Has balancing problems, but can be fun. 0
There are 2 main problems with this game.1. I suck at it and do not have much fun as a result. Now, you may laugh, but I don't think it is all my fault, or more importantly, that the lack of fun I have as a result of my suckage is my responsibility. The main role in the game is that of the fighter pilot and there are a number of players who top the leaderboards and kill everything in sight. the longer you play, you will notice the many many bad things.-The balancing (BR (Battle rating) system is strongly prefering players who buy premium vehicles (some of them 70€ for a single one+ a little extra)-The devolopers aren't listening to the playerbase at all-The advertising shows modern jets and tanks. This is the peak of the "we will make a s*** game with a unclimbable mountain of progression and a horrid in game economy so players will think that if only they unlocked the next thing the game will finally be fun and they will be happy again" game genre.The devs are incentivised to make the game worse with every update, the game is incredibly predatory, it is one of the most unfair games ever, depending on the game mode the gameplay is 90% luck and RNG and maybe 10% skill (fighting a battleshi...

War Thunder's economy is structured in such a way that F2P players need years of play to reach modern vehicles, and cannot afford to play such vehicles as they have to pay repair costs. The game causes a cycle of suffering and is not worthy of play at the moment until the parent company Gaijin can make changes for the players....
