DO NOT PLAY this game until economy is more player friendly

Let me start by saying, this is a good game, it is the company that runs it results a 1 star (0 star if I can).

consistent. The company that runs this game is Gaijin, they have built their business model around monetization completely. For a free to play game, I understand that they need to make money, but it is so actively to encourage player to pay, that their focus is to make the game harder and harder to progress so you will pay for some progression. To progress, you need RP(research points) and SL(silver lion, a ingame currency you get from playing). For an average player, that has a KD of 1, they get about 2,000~3,000 RP per game while a top tier tank costs somewhere around400,000 RP, that is if you get 1 kill every game, you'll need 150~200 games to research one tank, and there's about 10 tanks for each nation, there's 10 nations. That being said, it's pretty consistent. You play, you get RP. But SL is a whole different story. Every time you die, you lose SL to repair that tank you died in, for a toptier tank it can be about 8,000~15,000SL, while you get about 4,000SL for a kill. This makes SL earning extremely difficult, you'd have to play a SL line up(set of tanks) to specifically farm for SL in order to progress. Because buying new tank also costs around 1,000,000SL each, plus you need to train your crew to use that tankm which is another additional 300,000SL. So the conclusion is, DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME until it gets some proper economy change and gameplay change. right now is probably the worst time to enter War Thunder, please, for your own sanity, wait a bit and see how the game economy changes. Players of War Thunder now is actively pushing Gaijin for a economy update that is less punishing and more rewarding.

      Game is insufferable 0

War Thunder's economy is structured in such a way that F2P players need years of play to reach modern vehicles, and cannot afford to play such vehicles as they have to pay repair costs. The game causes a cycle of suffering and is not worthy of play at the moment until the parent company Gaijin can make changes for the players....

Stay away from the game for now. 0

This is the peak of the "we will make a s*** game with a unclimbable mountain of progression and a horrid in game economy so players will think that if only they unlocked the next thing the game will finally be fun and they will be happy again" game genre. The devs are incentivised to make the game worse with every update, the game is incredibly predatory, it is one of the most unfair games ever, depending on the game mode the gameplay is 90% luck and RNG and maybe 10% skill (fighting a battleshi...
