Update 20 just came out today with a bunch of new content, including a new Warframe that has the ability to make music using a sequencer. It sounds and looks pretty nuts but something they also added was a new photo mode and it's pretty glorious. The new mode called Captura is accessed within your ship in the appearance tab. I think it should be made a little more obvious as it's not something that is immediately obvious unless you specifically go looking for it (par for the course at this point with Warframe).

Captura is a specific photo mode so this isn't just something you can do anywhere. In Captura, you'll load into a specific scene of your choice taken from the games level. You can even load in enemies to fight to add to your picture if you want to show off an action scene.

I haven't played the game in quite some time now but here are just some pics I took using the new mode which has a ton of options from depth of field, grain, spawning enemies, additional lights, exposure, different colour presets and even the ability to play in slow motion.

@tbk: a few seconds? It's actually super simple with a lot of depth and I find the blur quite pleasing although I probably went too far in this case but of course you can do whatever you want for your own pics.

I really like how you can slow-down the animations and play in real time. I'm sure fashionframe players will gush over this feature. It's cool,

It is actually somewhat difficult to get some ok melee interactions, specially rag-dolling with the blade and whip. But hey Captain Hydroid is here to the rescue.

@rorie: From what I heard the PC versions runs really well at 4K. If you have any questions or want help getting back into the game, and your welcome to join us in the GB Clan. There's a bunch of friendly and fairly active duders that are more than willing to help you out.

@rapid: We'll see! I "reviewed" it for GameSpy back in the day and I think I got a bunch of in-game currency from the developer back then. Not sure if it's still the same systems or not, though.

@rorie: It's the same system, the game's underlying code hasn't been altered that much.

@rorie: If you have not played since 2013 you're in for a big surprise! A lot keeps changing. Partly why there's still quite a lot of us who continue to come back to the game regularly. Now @jeff's updated Quick Look in 2015 is now really outdated. In addition to the graphics overhaul for 4K. the developers have reworked and made major enhancements to the core gameplay mechanics. The progression is a bit more now more directed compared to back in 2013 with the newer star chart. if you are just returning start from Earth and start by completing Junctions which is now the way to unlock and progress through the map for new players. The parkour acrobatics system has been redone. While it will still take some time to learn, you are now much more mobile allowing you to combo (Crouch + Movement, and Crouch Jump) and virtually fly through levels. They have also re-work the mod+fusion system. The warframe designs have also gotten more ambitious and atypical. For example, The latest PC update introduced Octavia a new musical Bard theme Warframe that comes with its very own music sequencer. Her abilities are influenced by the beat of music you make. They also put a lot more Lore and introduced major story quests (ie. called The Second Dream, and The War Within) into the game that explain the origin of the Warframes and the Tenno Operator.

But anyhow, if you do play tell me how it plays in 4K and on your 1080TI! I'm currently running it on 1080 resolution on a regular GTX 1080.
