WarpThrough is a fast, single-screen platformer with a number of interesting gameplay elements, most notably: an unique take on combat. Players first have to stop moving to charge up, after which they can attack by pressing any of theirmovement directions. This take on combat means there is a big emphasis on timing and predicting where the enemy is going to be, which makes fighting surprisingly tactical.
On top of this there are multiple characters that each have their own attack. Although they all use the base concept of "charging up by standing still" the way they take out enemies varies from punching, to shooting, to whistling for your dog to come and take out monsters.
Along with an arcade mode, where any level and characters that's been unlocked can be played, WarpThrough has a short (1-2 hour) story mode where getting far enough in the arcade-inspired levels will allow users to progress and unlock new levels and characters. It also includes a weekly challenge mode with an online leaderboard, allowing players to compete with others using the same level and character for that week.
