    Overview

    The Wasteland franchise is a series of CRPGs that began with the original Wasteland, which was produced by Interplay and released in 1987. The sequel, Wasteland 2, is currently in development at inXile Entertainment and is expected to launch on digital platforms in October of 2013. The series is set in a post-apocalyptic nuclear wasteland, and the first game served as inspiration behind Interplay's Fallout and Fallout 2.
