    Overview

AH-3 Thunderstrike (known in Europe and Japan as Thunderhawk) is a helicopter flight sim that uses sprite-scaler technology for its levels. The game features ten operations set across the world with several missions for each. While the core objective needs to be destroyed to complete the mission, the player can also rack up points with valuable side targets or else make the final push on the fortified target easier by thinning the enemy forces beforehand.

The game is an enhanced remake of the original Thunderhawk AH-73M, released on Atari ST and Amiga systems in 1991. It was first released on the Sega CD platform, which employed the format to include FMV and voiceover, and then ported to PC MS-DOS a few years later. It would be followed by Firestorm: Thunderhawk 2.
