Castle of Dr. Brain is a comedic edutainment point-and-click puzzle-adventure game developed and published by Sierra (Company) for DOS PCs in 1991, with Amiga (Platform), Macintosh, and NEC PC-98 (Japan only) versions released in 1992.
Designed by Corey Cole (Person), the co-designer of the Quest for Glory (Franchise) series, Castle of Dr. Brain tasks the player with exploring a labyrinthian castle filled with different types of logic puzzles in order to apply for a lab assistant position with the enigmatic Dr. Brain. Along the way, players must solve a variety of puzzles, including traditional slide and jigsaw puzzles, mathematical and word puzzles, programming and robotics puzzles, and cryptography. The game's interface is primarily mouse-based, and the puzzle difficulty can be adjusted at any time (with three overall difficulty levels).
The game later received multiple sequels and spin-offs throughout the '90s, and the PC version was later re-released in 1996 in CD-ROM format
