    Overview

    Starbirds is a 2D side-scrolling shoot 'em up developed by Samo Jordan and Dario Hardmeier for the Amiga.

    The game was originally available bundled with other commercial software, but was then later released as freeware on the developers website.

    According to Samo Jordan's website the game was developed between 1993 to 1996.

    Gameplay

    Starbirds is a shoot 'em up that scrolls horizontally. Players can choose a primary and secondary weapon load out when starting the game. The primary weapon is fired by pressing the fire button while the secondary weapon is used by holding down the fire button.

    Weapons can be upgraded when picking up the upgrade items that come from destroying some of the enemies. The game can be played in single player or multiplayer for up to two players.
