Plot
Mathayus was training with his half-brothers Jesup and Rama at their village, home of King Urmhet. The king told Mathayus to go to Khemet and assassinate the lord who killed one of the palace concubines. Once Mathayus arrived, he realized that the lord and the concubine were killed by an evil sorcerer named Magus. The sorcerer offered Mathayus to join him. Mathayus declined Magus' offer and got sent to his dungeon. There, he met Hammet, an elderly prisoner who helped Mathayus escape the prison and go back to the Akkadian village. Magus sent his armies and slaughtered the Akkadians, including Urmhet. Jesup and Rama are still alive. Mathayus set out a quest to find the Sword of Osiris. At the Underworld, he was tasked by Ptah to rebuild the Sword that killed Osiris. As Mathayus attempted to leave the Underworld, he was blocked by Apep, the Snake God. Mathayus used the Sword of Osiris to stun the snake god and headed towards the Tower of Babel. There, Mathayus saw his brothers imprisoned at the hands of Magus, who took the form of Hammet and make Mathayus find the Sword. Magus intended to use the sword so he can sacrifice a victim and summon Set. Mathayus killed Magus, which made the latter become a vessel for Set. Mathayus eventually defeated Set and rescued his brothers.
