Overview

Lost in Blue 3 is a simulation video game published and developed by Konami (Company) for the Nintendo DS (Platform) and the third and final title in the series developed for the platform. It was followed by Lost in Blue: Shipwrecked on the Wii (Platform).

Story

A passenger cruise line is lost at sea, and the only two survivors, Sam and Claire, wash up on a deserted island. The shock of the incident causes Sam to lose his memories. To survive, he and Claire must work together as they explore the island, forage for food, and sustain some kind of shelter until they can be rescued.

Gameplay

At the beginning of the game, the player must choose between two characters; Sam or Claire, each with their own individual advantages and disadvantages. The ultimate goal of the game is to survive on the island. Basic requirements to meet this goal include finding water and food, maintaining a shelter and gathering the means for starting a fire. Other actions include hunting as well as crafting ropes and baskets.

Characters

Claire: A seventeen-year-old girl. She is one of two initial characters that are playable at the beginning of the game. Sam: A seventeen-year-old boy. He is one of two initial characters that are playable at the beginning of the game. Kumiko: A thirteen-year-old girl. She is one of two unlockable characters in the game. James: A fifteen-year-old boy. He is one of two unlockable characters in the game.
