    Overview

    Kumatanchi is a life simulation game where the player must take care of a bear-girl named Kuma-tan who lives in a city zoo. The game was a co-production between Vanillaware and a doujin group named Ashinaga Ojisan. The sound company responsible for all of Vanillaware's previous soundtracks, Basiscape, also composed the music for the title. Shigatake, an artist at Vanillaware and a member of Ashinaga Ojisan, created the game's characters while the gameplay was modeled after a life sim previously released by the doujin group called Hanbanero-tan House. Kumatanchi was published for the Nintendo DS in Japan by Dimple Entertainment on September 25, 2008.
