Overview
Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Wheelie Breakers is an arcade style racing game developed and published by Konami for the Wii in 2009. Wheelie Breakers is not a typical game in the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise in that it is an arcade style racing game.
Gameplay
Wheelie breakers plays much like a kart style racing game such as Mario Kart. The player still gets to use the cards the franchise is famous for. Before a race the player can set up a deck of cards which will be usable during the course of the race which are used as offensive, defensive, and counter weapons. The player will still draw a hand, and those cards can be used at any time. After a set amount of time the player will draw more cards to fill out the hand.
Players also start with 4000 life points. If the player takes enough damage to deplete the life points the vehicle will spin out, losing time.
DS Connectivity
Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Wheelie Breakers can be synched up to the DS title Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2009: Stardust Accelerator. If the DS game has been synched up with Wheelie Breakers the player will receive ten duel points and the ability to purchase the Dark Resonator card from the in-game shop.
If the game is synched a second time with Stardust Accelerator then the player will receive five thousand duel points and the ability to purchase Blue Eyes White Dragon from the in-game shop.
