    Overview

Star Fox 64 3D is an enhanced remake of the N64 original that was released on September 9, 2011 for the 3DS. It is the second Star Fox game to be released on a hand held console following the DS title Star Fox Command. The game features upgraded graphics, including stereoscopic 3D support and an optional 3DS-specific control scheme that uses the handheld's internal gyroscope sensor. The voice acting has also been entirely rerecorded due to inferior sound quality of the recordings made for the original version.

    Gameplay

Star Fox 64 3D offers two basic control styles. In 64 Mode, the controls are similar to the way they were in the original Nintendo 64 version. In 3DS Mode, players can control the game by using the 3DS's internal gyroscope sensor.

    Multiplayer

Similar to the N64 version, Star Fox 64 3D includes a battle mode for up to four players. The multiplayer component requires only one game card shared via Download Play. However, there is no online multiplayer component. Players can take photographs of their faces using the 3DS's internal camera. The photos are used as icons to distinguish different players in multiplayer.
