    Overview

CROSS†CHANNEL is an eroge developed by FlyingShine and written by Romeo Tanaka that was initially released in Japan for the PC on September 26, 2003. Years later the game received an all-ages English release courtesy of MoeNovel who published the game on the PC via Steam on March 26, 2018.

    Story

The game revolves around a group of students who are enrolled in a school that rehabilitates people who cannot fit into society. After a camping trip, the students return to their town to find it completely deserted. The main character, Taichi Kurosu, soon discovers that time is repeating itself and are stuck in an alternate dimension. He must find a way to help his friends get back to their original world.

    Official Releases

After Cross†Channel's initial release a number of consoles and handhelds ports were published by different companies.

    CROSS†CHANNEL ~to all people~

This was a port for the PlayStation 2 released by KID on March 18, 2004. Since it was released for a home console the adult content was removed and the story was rewritten slightly by Romeo Tanaka in order to accommodate these changes. This version was also released again on the PlayStation Portable by Cyberfront in 2010.

    CROSS†CHANNEL ~In memory of all people~

Cyberfront released another version of CROSS†CHANNEL for the Xbox 360 on April 14, 2011 that was co-developed by Regista. The release contained two additional segments. One was an additional scenario called "Another Story" and an "After Story" epilogue.

    CROSS†CHANNEL ~For all people~

5pb published a port of the "In memory of all people" edition of the game for the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 3 on June 26, 2014. This was the version of the game that was later translated by MoeNovel and released on Steam in 2018 under the name CROSS†CHANNEL: Steam Edition. Regista later ported this version of the game to the Nintendo Switch in 2020.

    CROSS†CHANNEL -FINAL COMPLETE-

Finally a "Final Complete" version of CROSS†CHANNEL was released in September 26, 2014 that contained all the additional content from the previous releases along with the adult scenes from the original PC edition. A new scenario was also included where the player can experience the story through the perspective of the games's heroines.

    Unofficial Releases

There exists unofficially-licensed software called Cross†Change that converts the original Japanese PC release into a format recognizable by the Game Boy Advance. In 2009 an English fan translation patch was released by Amaterasu Translations. The bonus scenario CROSS†CHANNEL Tower of Friends received a translation patch by Amaterasu Translations shortly afterward.
