Overview
J-Stars Victory VS is a 3D Arena Fighting game starring various popular stars of the Shonen Jump manga magazine. Graphically and overall aesthetically, it resembles the arcade title Dragon Ball Zenkai Battle Royal. J-Stars Victory VS is a celebratory title, created for the 45th anniversary of Shonen Jump.
The game's initial reveal showed that Goku (Dragon Ball), Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece), and Toriko (Toriko) were playable. This is the first time that Toriko has been included in a crossover game. A blurry image in one of the screenshots seemed to indicate that Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto) was included, and he was confirmed on March 27, 2013.
June 5, 2013, saw confirmation of Kenshin Himura (Rurouni Kenshin) and Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach).
An expanded, English version of the game called J-Stars Victory Vs+ will be released in western territories in Summer 2015. This version of the game will feature a new arcade mode and balance changes, and also debuts on the PlayStation 4 with enhanced graphics.
