Overview
Released in 2014, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Training Lair is an advergame based upon the Michael Bay movie that released in the same year. The game plays similar to the Kinect version of Fruit Ninja, but players are tasked with breaking boards, destroying mini pagodas, and eating pizza instead of slicing fruit. Each round is score-based and players earn their points by using their hands or weapons to destroy these items. During each level, the player will also be tasked with dodging shruiken and ooze-filled bombs. The game is exclusive to the Xbox 360 and can only be played with a Kinect.
Levels
The game starts with a training level, where players use just their hands, each level that follows is based upon a specific turtle, and their corresponding weapons. The following
Donatello's Lair - Players are tasked to use the bō to complete the level.
Raphael's Lair - Players are tasked to use the twin sai to complete the level.
Michelangelo's Lair - Players are tasked to use the nunchuks to complete the level.
Leonardo's Lair - Players are tasked to use the katanas to complete the level.
Trivia
The game takes approximately 8 to 10 minutes to complete.
Pizza Hut branded boxes can be seen strewn across the floor in the main menu and at the end of each level.
The game features leaderboards and a photo mode that allows players to take pictures of themselves and post them to Facebook.
