Enigmatis: The Ghosts Of Maple Creek is a hidden object adventure game developed and published by Artifex Mundi and Big Fish Games for Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone, Android, Windows Phone, Linux, and Blackberry.

On April 8th, 2016 The Ghosts of Maple Creek made its first console appearance with the Xbox One. This marks the third hidden object game that Artifex Mundi ported to the Xbox One.

Story

The game's protagonist wakes up on the side of the road near the small town of Maple Creek after a large storm. The protagonist has no memory of what has transpired to bring them to this location. It is now time to discover the secrets of this strange town and recover the memory of how they got there.

Gameplay

Enigmatis: The Ghosts Of Maple Creek has players trying to save a teenage girl and recover their memories by exploring the games environments. These scenes are single, mostly static screens with objects, characters, and puzzles to interact with by using a point-and-click style interface.

Players have an inventory that stores items that are obtained through finding them in the environments, obtained through solving puzzles, or obtained through finishing hidden object scenes.

The game contains a journal that keeps track of events that have transpired and clues that are to be used later. It also contains a built-in strategy guide that players can click on that contains an entire walkthrough of the game.

Hidden Object Scenes

The game contains many hidden object scenes. These scenes are made up of a single screen with an image containing a lot of objects jumbled together to make it more difficult to find specific items. Each scene contains 12 specific objects that are listed at the bottom of the screen.

Once the scene has been cleared, players will be given an item that will be used to solve some kind of puzzle later on from the game.
