    Overview

    Steins;Gate 0 is a spin-off to the visual novel franchise that was advertised by the creators as the "true sequel" to the original Steins;Gate. The game does not continue after the true ending of the first Steins;Gate but instead takes place in an alternate timeline. 5pb released Steins;Gate 0 for the PlayStation 4, Vita, as well as PlayStation 3 in Japan on December 10, 2015 and eventually ported the title to the PC on August 26, 2016. An English version of the game was later translated internally by 5pb but published by pQube in Europe on November 25, 2016 and then in North American on November 29th. After Spike Chunsoft's US subsidiary partnered with 5pb in 2017, the company published Steins;Gate 0's PC port on May 8, 2018 which contained a slightly edited script and newly translated graphics that were left in Japanese in the initial English release.

    Much like the first Steins;Gate, Zero reserved several adaptations into other media including manga, light novels and an anime television series once again produced by White Fox in 2018.
