A Wii U-exclusive roguelike which displays the regular world on the TV and a shadow world on the GamePad screen.

Temple of Yog is a Wii U exclusive, rogue-like adventure featuring procedurally generated dungeons. The player must send tributes into a mysterious temple to meet their unfortunate and unavoidable demise. However, permadeath is progress here, with a small village near the Temple Zenith prospering from each fallen tribute. As more tributes fail, the village begins to transform from a backwater town with primitive tools to a futuristic acropolis.

The two worlds in Temple of Yog are split across the television screen (Light) and GamePad (Shadow). Tributes can swap between these worlds where rooms, puzzles, and creatures differ from each other. For instance, a butterfly in the Light world might appear as a hellbeast in the Shadow world.
