    Overview

Rising Storm 2: Vietnam is a first person shooter video game that can be played online with up to 64 other human players. Building on top of the game engine and gameplay from Red Orchestra 2 and its Rising Storm expansion the game is centered around the Vietnam conflict.

Players can choose between fighting as the northern factions, the Norther Liberation Front (NLF/VC) and the North Vietnamese Army (NVA), or the southern factions, the United States Army, United States Marine Corps and the Australian Army.

    Gameplay

Two teams of players fight over the cities and jungles of Vietnam in one of three game modes. Supremacy, Territories and Skirmish. All three modes are objective based but play out differently.

    Supremacy

In Supremacy players fight to link their home base to objectives out in the field. Objectives that are linked back generate points for their team. If a link has not been created or has been destroyed by the other team capturing a point in the link, points not directly linked will not generate points for the team. Maps designed for this mode are more open ended and all points are able to be attacked at any time.

    Territories

In Territories the battle is focused to what tends to be one or two open points at a time. These maps can play out as Attack/Defend with one side pushing through the map or Attack/Attack with both teams pushing to take control of the entire map.

    Skirmish

Designed for smaller player counts, Skirmish maps feature 3 open objectives and a 2 minute time limit. After the two minutes are up players will stop re-spawning unless their team captures an objective which will add 40 more seconds of time to their teams ability to spawn. This includes after they have already lost the ability to spawn.
