    Overview

Darksiders III is the third main installment in the Darksiders series, developed by Gunfire Games and published by THQ Nordic. Originally intended to be developed by original series creator Vigil Games, Darksiders III found a new home when THQ, the series' original publisher, shut down in 2012 and the IP was purchased by Nordic Games.

    Story

    No Caption Provided

Set during the events of Darksiders II, Darksiders III features a new Horsemen, Fury, as the protagonist. Fury is sent by the Charred Council to locate and destroy the Seven Deadly Sins. She is accompanied by a Watcher on her journey. Considered the more aggressive and brash of the Four Horsemen, Fury often finds conflict with those she encounters and her disposition is reflected in her combat abilities.

    Gameplay

Darksiders III features a structure more similar to the Dark Souls series than to Darksiders II and Darksiders I. Fury must track down the Seven Deadly Sins located throughout the game's continuous open environment. Along the way, she encounters powerful enemies, many of them new to the series, and must solve environmental puzzles to proceed.

Darksiders III combat is a more methodical and dodge focused approach. Fury can switch between four different hollow weapons and each weapon gives Fury a different look and combo set. Fury can trigger powerful Wrath attacks, unique to each elemental form, and can transform into a Chaos Form similar to her brothers for a limited time.

Darksiders III does not feature a loot system. Souls gained from killing enemies can be used to buy consumables from Vulgrim or given to him in exchange for Attribute Points that are used to upgrade Fury's health, physical damage, and magic damage. Weapons can be equipped with "enhancements" that provide a boost in damage and other stats; Weapons themselves can be upgraded by Ulthane, a blacksmith who assisted War in the first game.
