Strongly influenced by Lovecraft's Cthulhu Mythos. Inner Voices is an non-linear adventure game with psychological-horror and rogue-like elements, which takes place in a randomised maze of ever-changing rooms. The game has five endings and VR support. Published on Steam on May 10th, 2017 for desktop PC, Windows 7 or higher. Developer by polish team of Sigma Games and published Fat Dog Games.
Synopsis
The game begins with the main character, John Blake, waking up in a dark realm, with no memories of his life or identity. Soon, the protagonist encounters David, a mysterious voice, who informs him that he is no longer alive. David offers to lead John through this dimension and help him recover his memories.
Throughout the game, the protagonist proceeds on his path consisting of a maze of procedurally generated rooms, filled with riddles and puzzles. Solving them recovers John’s shattered memories and helps the player make out John’s past: his childhood in an orphanage, the time spent in military and his family life. A new voice also joins John on his way - his wife, Dominica.
From the very beginning John has to make decisions, which alter the story and lead to five different endings.
