The game gives you control of a WWII U-boat, which you control throughout the games several missions.
The game also features an feature titled "U-boat highlights." This feature allows you to play through significant U-boat realated missions that actually took place in WWII.
==Reception == The reception for Silent Hunter 2 was less than enthusiastic. The game had several jarring problems including; Crude AI, the lack of replayability through the single-player missions and general problems with the multiplayer.
