Overview

Iron Crypticle is a medieval-fantasy dual-joystick action-RPG developed by Confused Pelican (Company) and published digitally by TiKiPOD for the Xbox One (Platform), PlayStation 4 (Platform), and PC (Platform) on July 12, 2017.

A follow-up to the studio's earlier 2014 game Iron Fisticle (Game), Iron Crypticle features four-player co-operative multiplayer on large randomly-generated arenas. Like the original, it features multiple RPG and rogue-lite elements and a stage progression system reminiscent of the 1990 game Smash TV (Game).

The game was later ported to arcades (using PC-based exA-Arcadia hardware) on April 19, 2020 as Lightning Knights (or, in Japan, as Fuurai no Kishidan). This version removes the dual-joystick firing mechanic for traditional Gauntlet (Game)-style attacking.
