    Overview

Darius Cozmic Collection is a shoot-'em-up game compilation developed by Taito (along with M2) and published by Taito for the Nintendo Switch in Japan on February 18, 2019. It was later released digitally on September 5, 2019, followed by a PlayStation 4 digital release on March 5, 2020 and a worldwide digital release on both consoles by ININ Games on June 16, 2020.

It is a compilation of numerous titles from Taito's Darius series of shoot-'em-ups, most notably the first three arcade releases (Darius, Darius II, and Darius Gaiden). It later received a sequel compilation, Darius Cozmic Revelation, featuring some of the series' 3D entries.

The original Japanese retail release also launched with a special edition, adding a variety of additional games (all either home console conversions or entries) while including an art/history book (Darius Odyssey Cozmic Archives), a soundtrack CD (Darius: The Omnibus II), and miniature recreations of the arcade game marquees. This version was brought in limited numbers to Western countries through Strictly Limited.

The bonus games included with the special edition were later released as a digital standalone release (Darius Cozmic Collection: Consumer Edition) at the same time as the main compilation's digital release. Both versions were released overseas at the same time, with the standard version as Darius Cozmic Collection: Arcade and the bonus version as Darius Cozmic Collection: Console.

The Arcade version was later released on the PC (via Steam) on November 17, 2021, adding multi-monitor and subwoofer support.

    Games

The compilation includes 15 game variations in total, 3 of which were added post-release.

Pre-ordering either version of the Japanese release on Amazon.co.jp also included a download code for the Game Boy version of Sagaia.

    Standard / Arcade Edition

These games were included in both retail releases of the compilation, as well as the standard digital release and the international "Arcade" release.

    • Darius (Arcade, 1987) - Includes original ("Old Version"), updated ("New Version"), and Darius: Extra Version releases.
    • Darius II (Arcade, 1989) - Includes the original release ("Dual-Screen Version"), the overseas Sagaia release, and a rare version of Sagaia ("Version 2", with the original as "Version 1").
    • Darius Gaiden (Arcade, 1994)

    Consumer / Console Edition

These games were originally exclusive to the Special Edition retail release, but was later made available as a standalone release ("Consumer Edition" for the Japanese version, "Console" for the international version).
