    Border of her Heart takes place in a fictional city of Oakgate, which had a plague epidemic. The city is no longer on full quarantine and people are slowly being allowed to enter. The player is a new guard who is tasked to guard the border gate. Because the city is still recovering, only certain number of people are allowed to enter per day and thus the guard has a very important job of deciding who can enter the city.
