Blackwyche was released in 1985 by Ultimate Play the Game (by now renamed to Rare, Ltd. (Company).). It is the last game in a trilogy, the first two games being Entombed (Game) and The Staff of Karnath. The player characters is an aristocrat strolling around a ghost ship ridden with monsters. The game is incredibly hard and swiftly became infamous for it. For example, the players need to find a sword hidden in the ship before they are even able to beat the monsters at all.
