    Overview

Hideki Kamiya is a video game designer who began his career at Capcom in 1994. He was one of the few employees to work in the small team that made Resident Evil with series creator Shinji Mikami. In 1998, he made his directorial debut on Resident Evil 2. He later directed the original Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe. He joined Clover Studio in 2004 and directed Okami, but after the studio went defunct two years later, he and the other Clover Studio members formed PlatinumGames.

At PlatinumGames, he has directed Bayonetta and The Wonderful 101. He also wrote the story for Bayonetta 2 on top of supervising it.
