    they really started losing the plot after Silver/Diamond IMO. the Roster back then was perfect. personally i cannot stand

    Dude, any Pokemon that evolves into Beedrill is a good Pokemon. 

    The same for Magikarp.  Gyarados is a high-end destroyer (if we're excluding the conversation to the first-generation Poke-games).

    totally agree. a pathetic pokemon is ok if it evolves into a kick ass one. Gyarados is awesome

    What happened to my beloved pokemon WHAT THE HELL IS A ZIGZAZOON?

    and as far as I'm concerned Goldeen is the most useless pokemon. I mean at least Magikarp and Weedle evolve into somthing cool but Goldeen's just nothing.

    I thought I was the only one who loved Beedrill. Back on Fire Red, I had a hand trained, no Rare Candy Level 98 Beedrill which started as a Level 3 Weedle. Now that's commitment.

    Beedrill was my psychic-killer.  Jolteon gets a bug attack later on, but I prefer just having a high-level Bug Pokemon over an Ultra-Rare.  Dunno why, really.

    i meant purely in terms of the pokemon roster, not the story or anything else. after silver/diamond i felt they just started re-hashing old pokemon .
    for example you had butterfree and then beautifly. they look too similar
