The game was published on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System and the Nintendo Game Boy shortly after the release of the movie. The Game Boy version was published in various countries with graphical changes and new titles. Despite sharing a publisher the game is distinct from the Sega Genesis and Game Gear version, which instead uses the name A Dinosaur's Tale and has the player controlling the human characters Louie and Cecilia instead.
