You cannot argue that gaming is a lifestyle for some. Weather i choose to co-exist with these people who ruin video games is up to me. Nintendo should have taken thier press conference somewhere else because my mom who plays wii doesnt watch E3. I watch E3. Nintendo blew it. Wiis games blow, dont be silly. Retail price for any wii game besides SMG is an absolute rippoff (yes, Wii retail price, not xbox etc)
I can't handle thier poor design/marketing issues. They are going to lose thier new base to microsoft because now the xbox has thier gimmick, but better. I don't think video games in general should be a niche market.  But certain genres of games should stay niche.

Unfortunately for him even video games is a buisness. meaning microsoft, sony, nintendo are all concerned about how to make more money. So if they make more money by appealing to the mainstream, this is going to happen.

Gaming should be allowed to be enjoyed by everyone. Expanding the games market to a wider range of people is a good thing, I don't understand why anyone else would think differently?

To be honest, I wasn't interested in Super Mario Galaxy 2 or the new Metroid game. On the other hand I was loving Wii Sports Resort, the archery game looked great fun and I loved the way it introduces you into the game. I thought it was a clever way of introducing everyone to Motion-Plus.
